Let the Gypsy Winter Begin
“Our battered suitcases were piled on the sidewalk again; we had longer ways to go. But no matter, the road is life.” – Jack Kerouac
I’ve found rest and solace in a week with my family for the Thanksgiving holiday. Sunny California has rejuvenated my bones, ligaments, and provided the necessary rest after over a year-and-a-half on the road: British Columbia, Argentina, Chile, Norway, New Zealand, and every ski town in the Western U.S. has seen my suitcase. With winter creeping into existence in many places and the tiny house tour about to begin again, I am looking towards another year of travel, discovery, and life on the road. Here’s to new places, finding friends, and enjoying an unbound affection for the opportunity to just go. Cheers!

It’s good to see. You’ve got fans in Truckee and Tahoe. Woop woop.
P.s.
Japhy Ryder is
Alive and well and he
Would like your Gypsy.
Japhy Ryder! Thanks for the comment Brook. We’ll be in Tahoe as soon as a significant storm hits the Sierras!
Hey! My name is Caleb, and I’ve almost completed my own tiny house. I was emailed you’re guy’s great video just days after interviewing for a position on the slopes in CA and was hoping if you had the time, you might answer a few questions I had about living small in the snow?
thanks, Long live Tiny!

Hi Caleb–You are building your own tiny home?!!!! This is one of my favorite things about our tiny house is that I am now meeting other friends through the process of seeing/hearing about other people trying to live a similar lifestyle! You can get in touch with me through Facebook or send an email to mbakerski@gmail.com. Thanks Caleb! Looking forward to hearing from you!
Caleb,
Good work. Good luck on your job. If you are working at Squaw or Alpine you can park your little house at my camp in Truckee. That is if you get here before the snow blocks my driveway. I live in a tiny house and have a trailer, converted shipping container, tipi, and a couple of playhouses. I am a professional builder with a shop where I build little houses and huge tables. Mostly, I just ski.
